This initiative aims to support the gaps in public service infrastructure for the homeless in Los Angeles County. This includes direct services, advocacy projects, and research.

In this initiative, we work to improve access to support and quality care for Asian communities in LA County. We provide trauma-informed, culturally-competent services to Asian citizens and immigrants.

  • Services:

    • CPR & First Aid Certifications for shelter and nonprofit staff

    • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certifications for Community Health Centers and nonprofits

    • Community “Hands-only” CPR Classes

    • Naloxone Distribution/Education

  • Services:

    • Public Benefit Applications (CalFresh, CalWORKs, General Relief/General Aid, etc.)

    • MediCal Applications

    • Covered CA Enrollment Counseling

    • Intensive Case Management

    • Domestic Violence Counseling

    • Peer Support Services

Praxis Popups address overlapping needs in communities experiencing high rates of uninsurance, poverty, and overdoses. Our one-touch model of service meets individuals and families where they are at to provide as much as we can in one interaction.
